OOOOO i cant wait, the only thing that can stop me is a deployment. I gotta fly from hawaii to MD just to pick up my vr4 at my parents then drive to NG, IT WILL BE AWESOME!

How about some more news???

Some of you have expressed interest in going down to Beale Street. Since we already know this group loves to drink all night and party, we've added a new little something to make your lives easier...

First, let me say that Beale Street is about 15-20 minutes from the hotel. To get there, you go through a not-so-great-but-not-necessarily-terrible area. Parking anywhere downtown in the lots is $5 each time. That said...

This year we'll be offering bus service to/from the main hotel and Beale Street!!! Busses will run on Wednesday from 8pm-3am, Thursday from 10pm-3am (so you can bring your cars back to the hotel after the car show, then return for more fun), and on Saturday from 10pm-3am. The last bus will leave Beale Street at 2:30am. The hours are still flexible, and we MAY add Friday night. However, with drag races running from 2pm until 10pm, we weren't sure we needed it that night. We'll see how registrations go and the response to the bus service.

This service will help with a multitude of things. First, gas to/from Beale Street. Second, parking near Beale Street. Third, people having to park their cars downtown. Fourth, drinking and driving. And last, it should help prevent some trouble at the hotels. Since alcohol is reportedly cheap on Beale Street, I think it'll also help everyone get downtown and take advantage of the amenities that Memphis has to offer. One of the biggest attractions to Memphis (aside from the race track) is it's downtown area. Hopefully everyone will be able to enjoy it more this way.

To ride the bus, you'll pay a nominal fee for the entire weekend. All gratuities will be handled by the NG, so you pay once and that's it. You'll get a sticker for your nametag that you must show to the bus driver in order to board. Buses will leave the hotel on the hour and Beale Street on the half.

I hear you on this one... I will get a good crowd from Arkansas. Man I am glad its finally close to where we live... Lets me see a good showing Southern folks.
