We have a few changes to the schedule. First, the car show… I know you will all be terribly disappointed (kidding!), but the car show has been changed. On Thursday night (as originally planned), they were expecting about 5000 people for a free concert down there. Yeah, the crowds would be great, but would all the drinking during a free concert be such a good idea around the cars? Not to mention it’s a country concert and I know how a lot of you feel about that….
So... How does Saturday from 11am-4pm sound? Just to give you an idea, Beale Street expects crowds of about TWENTY THOUSAND PEOPLE on a summer Saturday afternoon. Tourists galore, locals, basically everyone is on Beale Street. I thought you guys might prefer 20,000 to 5,000… We’ve never had a car show in such an unbelievable location before. Get ready for an amazing event!! If the change in plans changes your ability to participate, don’t forget to let us know by adding it to your registration. While registration for the car show is free, we need to know who will be participating. Hey guys who are selling their cars... Where will you find a bigger crowd to offer it? I hate to think of them being sold, but I guess it's a fact... Think about it! 20,000 potential buyers!
So now we have some down-time on Thursday evening… Hmmm… What to add… How about a SWAP MEET?? We’ve been listening, and many of you have commented on wanting one, so… Here it is. Here’s the deal. 5pm-7 or 8pm… Private – no public. Businesses, if you’re a sponsor of NG you’re welcome to participate. If you’re not, don’t even bother trying it. We’ll be watching. Have stuff you want to sell but can’t bring it with you? You can ship it to the hotel. PM me for details.
Keep watching - I have more announcements to come!
Re: NG Schedule Change - I think you'll love this!
We've never had a problem before and in years past we've had many people who drove a really long way (right Mark, Jan, and Phil?) for the NG in Michigan. This car show will be worth staying for, as is the banquet. How could you possibly go to Memphis and not visit Graceland??? As tacky as it is, it's fun just to see it. Especially the car museum... That man had some amazing vehicles, and this is coming from someone who really doesn't care about the cars. Honestly, it was my favorite part.

Love the swap meet idea......
