Default Re: New Project-Pushing the limits of the 2 bolt! on a Severe Budget

i wish i could compute the $$$ lost to businesses by its members wasting time at BAWC. just think of all the work that could have been accomplished. hell, the manpower combined could have probably eeked out several engine/tranny rebuilds.

i'll remember never to have internet access for my employees while they are at work.

the money lost every day by business from employees playing on the interweb has been theorized for a while now. It's in the millions of dollars of lost worker hours.

But, LOTS of good comes from internet use at the workplace as well. Whether it be from research, online ordering of parts, Customer/business emailing/contact, tracking/shipping etc.

It definitely helps business.

Not if you're trying to get Chris' help. He seldom has time @ work for the interweb. I don't get my daily emails anymore.

ditto. i'm with you.

maxima...it's your boss' fault for not properly utilizing the manpower he/she has available. and we wonder why gm was going bankrupt when the guys paid $35/hr. were sitting playing cards during 1/2 of their shift. nothing against you.

there's a lot of stupidity in management, and it's why jobs go overseas. it's appearently easier to pay someone else to crack the whip over a sweatshop--than to actually get your own people to put in an honest full day's worth of work.

Then there are those of us who work smart and BEG for more work to do, but have micro-managers who love seeing you sitting at your desk where they can reach you at anytime and WILL NOT allow you to volunteer your efforts to help out other departments. Not that I know anyone like that or anything. I'm just saying.............
