so about 45 lb/min +- a couple lb/min @ choke flow each?

i wanted to get a turbo setup that was small enough for streetability but large enough/efficient to make good pump gas power. After LOTS of research this is what I came up with. Of course, theory goes out the door once you put it into practice so we shall see. I will also have a meth kit so will push pump to it's limit, then pump + water/meth.

So he hyped up his car and now he's on the dyno putting down some pretty decent numbers. Why doesn't it count? Don't be another "i'm going to hop on the nelson-hating bandwagon because everyone else is doing it and it's trendy." Like Chris (have to keep this on topic somehow), he's pushing the limits of our cars in one way or another and doing extraodinary things. At the very least, acknowledge that and be happy that someone is doing something cool with our cars, because you and I certainly aren't.

From all the measurements of the turbine and compressor Ind and Exd and height and blade design, the turbos I ordered are identical to the set of DR1000's I have at the shop for a customer's car.
That said, maybe I am missing something and I am sure someone will chime in and tell me that I am way off. Of course I am not using the turbine housing the DR1000 uses which I think is the PTE T3 5 bolt in various A/Rs, I am using the Mitsu bolt up PTE housing so I can bolt them to the 3SX TD05 kit. But the wheels are the same nonetheless. The turbos I have are PTE 5027's. The 50 trims have been shown in DSMs to make more power on pump at the same psi than EVOIIIs and over all have a higher HP capability. And only minimal increase in Spoolup. They {dsm} normally use the 5031. I went to a 5027 {smaller turbine wheel} to aid in spoolup. According to PTE there is only a 10HP per turbo power capability loss. |
