When your car came in from the other shop your block was trashed. Mains were wiped. If your starting from scratch and it fits the budget (which you were and it did) we would always recommend the 4 bolt.
Oh yeah, I remember that. The mains on the girdle and block were trashed. Customer was given the option for a new block. We had no used blocks at all. Cost on a new 2 bolt or 4 bolt is the same. So why not go 4?. So we did.

Do you have any pictures similar to that ^^^ showing the freeze plugs on the other side of the block?

Well, it's been a while since I updated this thread. I haven't worked on her much. Don't feel like staying late after a full day of work at the shop and weekends are spent doing other things, like the Wife. She doesn't pull me away from it, she can't wait to take her down the track herself!

I had a trashed TC so I was able to piece together a 25 spline 5 spd TC from 3 TCs from parted out VR4s. I built that this past weekend. And I just tonight finished rebuilding the 5 spd 25 spline trans from my car. Mostly donor parts from 3 stripped down transaxles from parts cars, except a new 2nd gear and 1-2 hub/slider.

Got the bumper and crash bar off to install the FMIC kit. Decided I will be keeping AC and PS. It's my daily driver after all.

My turbos also came in today. These should do the trick.

Here are some pics.

I am pretty sure they are much smaller than DR1300s. This is a daily driver street car. I need something a little more streetable. They are larger than EVOIIIs for sure.

yeah, i can tell they are larger than 16g's. i'm still trying to sort out the terminology differences between garrett turbo's and all the rest.

looks bad-ass man! did you have to do any turbo-clocking?

I'm not sure what IPO is using, but they are much smaller than DR1300s.

My turbos are kinda close to the spec of a GT3076, but aren't. They also look VERY similar to another competitor's turbo we have at the shop. I need to take some measurements to be sure....but man they look identical.

After lots of research and talking with Precision we came up with these, They should provide 700+AWHP with pretty decent spoolup and should have fairly good power on pump gas.

keep going up.

I have a set of turbos here for a customer's car. From a competitor.
Took mine and the other apart and the wheels in design are identical, can't tell them apart, So I measured the In and Ex of the comp and turbine. And the height of each. They are dead on. Somehow I guess I came to the same conclusion that this would be a great setup. I used lots of DSM testing results since they test the shit out of turbo setups, and picked the brains at PTE. This is what we came up with for both my power goals on Pump and Meth and for spoolup.

Should haul ass!
