Heads ready to put back together. Everything cleaned by me, no machine shop has touched them. Stock valves and 3rd gen lifters from a parted out car and stock heads from a different parted out car. I am putting new VSS in as well. No Valve job, I will lap the valves in though.

Got to work on her for a few hours over the weekend.

Built the heads.
Stock TT heads just cleaned up with some time in the parts cleaner and hand tools-cleaning cost=elbow grease. No machine shop touched the heads. They are Stock. No porting, not even the casting flaws were touched.
Put in new VSS. Guides were good. (enough)
Tore down three sets of heads I had to find 24 good valves. Some had pitting on the seat are, mostly on ex valves.
You will notice a mix of different valves both intake and ex. I didn't want to get (afford) new valves so I used what I could salvage from all the heads I had.
Lapped the valves.

Got the Oil pan on and heads are on. Slow goes it when I only work on is a few hours a week.

Transaxle is apart...needed some 3rd gear service. Have parts and just need time to assemble.

If the 2 bolt is so kick-ass, why did 3SX recommend I pay to upgrade/convert to the 4 bolt so it would be more reliable and last longer- knowing that I'm only pushing what ever power DR500s make?
When your car came in from the other shop your block was trashed. Mains were wiped. If your starting from scratch and it fits the budget (which you were and it did) we would always recommend the 4 bolt.

it looks like the dimple where the pickup goes is caved in a bit. Probably just an illusion with the dirt on the pan and the lighting or the way the picture was taken or whatever

I thought the same exact thing. Probably just the dirt and angle.

Pan is perfect, must be the angle of the shot.
