Are you guys working on a diagram for a 1998-1999 3s? I just got mine in yesterday and I am sure I can figure it out, but I really would like to see this provided by the vendor.

So to physically install this...

I need to install the temp sensor at the top of the Y-pipe. What size hole do I drill?

I need to install the boost/vacuum sensor near the throttle body.

I need to plug all of this into the harness.

I need to wire up the unit.

I need to connect it to my wideband.

Is all this correct?

The sensor is 3/8" NPT

That's about it.

I skimmed through the 34 pages of this post.... suggest posting a summary of suggested configurations, capabilities, and est. cost in the first post. -Or- perhaps start a new thread with a summary of everything, then update with ongoing information.

There's lots of good information here, but it's spread throughout the entire post.

Bob - I have a question...Something I've noticed with the SAFC and was wondering about MAFTPRO. Since Every few years I have to ship my car, inevatible when it arrives in port, the battery is dead. The SAFC completely loses its settings when this happens. Does teh MAFTPRO also "Zeroize" when it loses power? I was allset to buy cause I am having a hell of a time getting a tune with SAFC with the SDS Install, and think that Speed Density would get rid of th MAFT all together and as such perhaps eaiser to tune in teh long run, but am wondering about "holding" the tune since my car when ti gets to port is then driven by other people on and off the boats. i would hate to have something blow up cause some idiot attempts to drive my car without a tune off teh boat after being at sea. So is there like a battery backup in the maftpro...???

The Pro saves its tune to Flash memory. The flash is rated for 10 year minimum data retention at its temperature extremes.

So its no problem....
