Oh and I finally figured out what was wrong with my zeitroniz so once I get in installed I can post a log of it showing air/fuel and boost. But I would say full boost easiely by 3800rpm if not a lot sooner. So what gear should I do this in and what rpm to go wot?

3rd from 2500 RPM should be good. I would not go lower as it puts a lot of stress on the engine to lug it.

What did Vitali's car put down Ray? Judging by where the torque cross 215lb/tq and 270lb/tq and knowing what a 3.0L 6g72 can physically make for torque at that rpm (don't worry I've dyno'd 9b's to 76mm singles under ALL conditions)...graph seems a bit higher than our setup here as far as a different rpm pickup or slight correction factory. Either or, get that beast to the track as the powerband is great, congrats Bob!

Great numbers...
I personally think the numbers are probably spot on with a "realistic" number. However, it should be mentioned that not all Dyno Dynamic dynos are created equally. I'm trapping 126mph several times on pure 93 pump (full weight) and LSE's Dyno Dynamics dyno is showing 430awhp approximately (I can't recall the exact figure) for my setup. To think that Oohnoo's car is making 85AWHP more than mine on pump is umm... well, let's just say I'm skeptical. Again, I am NOT saying he's NOT making 513awhp on pump, I believe he is and pretty attainable based on his setup with the right tune. But I thought it interesting here that different DD dynos can show such a variance in numbers. Once again proving that numbers... are JUST numbers... Congrats on the car and tune Oohnoo. I bet it hauls ass and is alot of fun to drive. Always loved those 97/97 VR4s and yours is definitely cream of the crop. edit - forgot to mention... my pump gas dyno numbers were at 20psi, not 18psi. Regards, JR

Very well put and I hope Oohnoo didn't take me wrong. We are switching over to using shootout mode as it locks in the settings and displays weather conditions and offsets/everything on the bottom of the graph. I would encourage other DD operators to do the same as this is a hard written code by Dyno Dynamics to keep numbers compariable. |

Isn't your dyno the stingiest in the history of 3si LOL I think his power level is very close to what most of the 16g people are seeing on pump gas, but I dont think even they are easily getting 130mph traps in a full weight car. As light as Adam and Trevors cars are, they had a hard time getting into the 130s with 14bs maxed out which had to be close to 550-600awhp. I still stand by my assertion that 600awhp (dynojet) numbers =130 traps in a 3850 race weight car. Assuming this is stingier then Rays old dyno, it might get close with a little more psi, but I really dont think its possible considering what we already know of TD04s Sam Last edited by wraith : 12-17-2007 at 07:01 PM. |
