so you're saying that there is already a recall for this? at least on the stealths?

Bullshit this is a defect. Its a wear item. I really feel sorry for Mitsu with owners like you guys.

Are you going to try and get a recall for our "defective" brakes that wear out after 50 or 60 thousand miles? They are definently a safety issue as much as this is, lol.

The belt on my 92 used to stick. I cleaned the belt and the part the belt slides over with Black Magic car interior cleaner.

It stopped sticking for over 40k miles. I need to do it again.

That sounds like a sliding issue though. Even if I try to help mine along, it won't retract properly.

The belt would stick and not be pulled into the body of the car it was not hung up on the part is slides over. This is a solution I found on the forum in 1999 and did on my 92 at that point.

Why does my friend's 1980's honda civic with like 350k+ miles on it have pefectly working seat belts? About everything else on the car is worn out... not the seat belts. The ones on the 3/s were obviously built differently, which causes wear and its NOT supposed to do that.
