might be your idle speed control motor, i had an issue like that once, was drivin along just fine then when i went to a gas station as soon as i pressed in on the clutch the motor died. restarted it, and noticed if i didnt have it in gear or if i had the clutch in/in neutral and wasnt pressin the gas it would die

I drove mine w/o the MAF plugged in +- 5miles city traffic to the junkyard. I had to keep it running (foot idle at 2000)
Another guys ICM went out yesterday on here. "Dealership charges $1200 for ICM" thread may be that time of the month. It could be stuck closed and not allow air to bypass, to keep it at idle. Drive it w/o the MAF if that dosent work, its time for a new ICM. "CLEAN your TB while its out" |

The first thing i would do myself as i just had a very similar problem is check the ISC, heres a link to jeffs site Stealth 316 Home look under isc/iac servo... all you have to do is get u a volt meter and check the different corresponding points. Like i said my car would start and run for a min then shut off soon after and i had to hold on the gas to keep it running. Come to find out the ISC had gone bad. My second guess would be the maf connection is loose or you have a rather large vaccum leak.

When you start you car can you manually hold the idle up at 800 RPM by feathering the throttle? And when you drive and push in the clutch hold
some throttle to keep the engine running, if you can do all of this manually then it is your ISC that has gone bad. |

Yeah I have a TT kit for the car but not yet installed I took the MAF out and started it but it reved up and down for a few minutes then put it back in and it started fine and pulled it into my driveway more straight so maybe it needs a new MAF?
