Ahhh. La Fee Verte.

Maybe you loosened a connection somewhere when you changed the battery. Check MAF, TPS, etc... Also check fuel pressure and flow. Try unplugging the battery for 15-20 minutes to reset ECU. Are the spark plugs sparking after the car dies and you try to turn over the engine? Air leak around MAF leaning engine?
Just brain storming quick engine checks

are the terms clean, use some sandpaper to expose clean metal. Mine were so bad i had to replace them, the stockers are crappy thin copper.
there is a process to reset w/ the com. port the ECU, ill try to find it. Or it maybe a Fuse that you have to pull. Q: How do I reset the ECU? a: Generally, there is no need to rest the ECU. Installation of a hi-flow air filter should not require you to reset the ECU. The ECU will "re-learn" and automatically adjust for any change in airflow. The only time you may want to reset the ECU is if an engine code appears. You can then reset the ECU by unplugging the negative battery cable for approx. 10 seconds.

My first thought was a MAF issue, or possibly a vacuum leak.

Have you washed your engine compartment recently?
I was so anal about keeping my car clean. I had a crack in the plastic lid on the MAF and about 1/4in of water had gotten in and ZAP! I know and remember well the "O $hit" look you had but, thats the fun of a 3000GT |
