Default My trip, the gear I've outfitted

Spend all my time on BAWC, but I'll come on 3si and post about this I'm doing soon.

Driving my R1 from Utah to NEW JERSEY, going to work for APX Alarm for 4 months selling home security.

*body work off bike now being painted

box I made to hold stuff in the back:

here's a controversial item, my handlebars:

(quick to install/remove, when I am using they work because of a throttle-stick device I have [like cruise control], on the open highway around nobody I can move back to these bars and sit straight up- cruise/rest)

Simple as that, I see it taking me 5 days to cross the country, I'm trying to leave like monday/tuesday!

Gl on the trip. Those bars should work wonders for your back. I can't stand stockers for more than an hour at a time.

Don't think I've ever seen a 2nd set of bars like that on a sport bike. Pretty ingenious actually. Only concern is it looks like you'd hit your face on them when you have to switch to the stock for braking, etc.

That looks soooo fucking rediculous, but function over form haha. It looks like it might all work out. That big box on the back looks especially terrible, but its the only way to put stuff in there I guess. Good Luck! Hope the trip goes good. At least you will save alot of gas money.

You bought the wrong bike, chief.

A serious redneck truck and a Yamaha Goldwing?

Creative, but pretty rediculous.

No no no, right bike, and its not about the TRIP, its about GETTING bike and my stuff to New Jersey to work for summer.
I'll put myself through worse to get same outcome.

I can operate stock bars without ever coming into contact with bars I made.
*crash with bars installed hasn't happened yet lol

look at this:

Now that I look closely you could make the extension alot safer by removing the upper bar.

it would be great if you could make them retract into the fork.
