Ok so something is whack here since I know several of you with this combination.
I'm bolting up my HKS super drager to my VR4. I installed the rear section with the canister first and hung it from its 3 mounting points. No problem there I'm now trying to install the section that goes in between the downpipe and the rear section. I attached the mid section to the rear section at its flange. I go to position the front and its flange is a good 3 inches forward of the downpipe. So I'm like ok, time to adjust how the rear section hangs I guess. I've now got the front 2 mounts on the rear section disconnected so that its only hanging by its rear most exhaust hanger, and I have that slid as far as it can go so the tip of the exhaust is extending well beyond the bumper (standard from what I normally see, lol). I was able to finally get the flanges aligned as far as their touching each other, but they at least 20 degrees off as far as the bolt holes go! I have no sort of clearance under the car now with the rear and mid section, all sorts of stuff is touching and rubbing in different places. Also the bracket/holes on the mid section that are supposed to to mount to the exhaust hangers on the car are a good 1-2 inches away from the hangers. Is it possible that my stillen downpipe (never installed) has a manufacturing flaw and is too long and the flange offset wrong? Or is it possible that my engine is sitting too far back in the engine bay due to solid mounts? (i doubt it, but hey it could explain some things?) Or is it possible I'm installing the mid section upside down? Anyone got a picture of underneath their car with this setup? **edit I tried flipping the mid section over, that DEFINITELY was not the solution
