Default My Stupid Question For 2008

I have been running a set of Findanza Cam Gears on my 95 VR4. They have been set to the zero alignment marks and now I have changed them. I have now set them at 1deg advance on the intake and -3degs retard on the exhaust. This is the normal setting that is used by most.
After looking at my new settings on the gear's I started to question my self on if that was correct way to set them On the front head I rotated the intake cam clock wise 1 deg and on the back head I also rotated the in take cam 1 deg clock wise. This is what the instructions said to do.
Now here is my stupid part! Do I rotate the cams on the back in the opposite direction? Clockwise is advance on front and advance is counter clockwise on the back? and the same with the exhaust counter clockwise front and clockwise in the back?
I do believe I have set them the correct way but could use some help. OK I did have a few drinks while working on the car but I do believe they are no longer twisting my mind to day
Thanks
Greg

The 6g72 crank rotates clockwise, which is the correct direction for advance with all gears. Cams are driven by the timing belt in the same direction.

Keep in mind that ignition timing may be affected by adjusting the gear with the cam angle sensor wheel. Messed around with ~30 (crank) deg advance on my daily, which is still running that on both cams. Advancing the intake very much would be a very bad idea on these interference motors, though.

Thanks for the answer. I was going by the info that 3SX used in the information under there cam gears listing.

"On the 3000GT/Stealth, the center gear hub is turned clockwise in relation to the outer cog to advance time, counter-clockwise to retard time, so youre advancing/retarding the cam in relation to the timing. Common settings are +1 advance on the intake cams and -3 retard on the exhaust cams - these settings have been dyno tested to add 23 ft/lb of torque on a Twin Turbo!"
Thanks for the help
