On to the build part of the thread.. Im building it not so much with a power goal in mind, but i guess you can say my dream car? Basically an all around performer good at pretty much everything and can still have the remaining interior, power steering, and A/C, and still be able to function as a "daily driven" car. I say that lightly because i also have a beater/good MPG car so its whatever i feel like driving kind of thing..

The reason why I'm starting this now is because I believe my VCU is shot. It has 140,000 miles on it, seen (what im guessing) multiple launches from DR750 status from the previous owner as well as the launches i have done in it, and is about 20 years old. I was able to turn one of my front tires pretty easily by hand as well.. havent checked with the rest yet though. Also, im not sure if im going to break into the motor or not (yet) but im pulling the engine/tranny combo this weekend and at least addressing some of the oil leaks coming from the engine as well as cleaning up the engine bay. (Possibly painting it a glossy black but unsure of that at this point as well.)

SO. Parts list.. Since my VCU is shot, I'm going to start with the transaxle and build it with these parts all at once so I don't have to break into it again.

-Transmission-
Supercar Engineering Torsen Center Differential with 300M output shaft (on group buy list)
Front LSD (Still deciding between the SCE, OBX/SCE one, or the OBX one)
Broomfield Racing Billet endcase (Not purchased)

That should be it for the internal tranny parts since it was rebuilt once before but if i crack it open and I see something that should be replaced I'll add it to this list.

Here's the things that are not high priority.

-External Driveline/Rear Differential-
2 piece Aluminum/Steel 6 Speed Driveshaft (Not purchased)
KAAZ Rear LSD ( not purchased)

This bottom section is thrown together for now because i need to get some sleep lol..

-Engine- (Need to research most of this stuff)
ARP Headstuds
ARP Main bolts?
Ray Pampena Head Lift Fix (Not sent off)
Cams
99 or Solid lifters
Valves
Springs
Solid lifters
OEM Oil Pump
OEM Water Pump
OEM Hydrolic Tensioner
OEM Tensioner
OEM Idler pulley
New High Quality Timing belt
Bigger Oil cooler
Rods
Pistons
Wrist Pins
Rings
Bearings
Balance engine
New Freeze plugs
Research coolant/oil passages
Gaskets
New IACV
New TPS
Radiator hoses
Coolant Reservoir
Krank Vents
Better radiator fans, a fan shroud, and some ducting to get around the fmic

-Interior/Electronics-
Fix A/C display
New Carpet
New Floor Mats
Bride front seats
5 Point harnesses
Roll cage
More gauges monitoring more things because Im paranoid
Some type of fan controller

-Exterior-
99 Headlights
99 Sail Panels
99 Combat wing
99 Rear garnish
Passenger Side Door Mirror
Probably Pitroad M hood or something similar
Repaint a nice "Supercar" white
Tie rod ends
Replace any bad bushings

looks like fun. Looks like my rebuild if I had money lol. Previous guy sold me one with fried rings told me it was the turbo. I love the pearl color one of my favorites besides black.

Rymer: I have my display apart right now and it looks pretty bad haha. I can fix it myself but I rather not. Shoot me a PM discussing price and if its good I'll get with you on that.

Ok update time! Motor and tranny are out of the car. I need to pull the trans apart to get to the center diff so that I can have my SCE one sent to me. I'm also going to order a bell housing brace and install it at the same time. I'm going to buy a billet end case later.

The reason I pulled the motor out at the same time was to clean up the engine bay because the engine has been leaking oil for quite some time.. So I'm going to seal up the engine and get the valve cover done.. I noticed some oil coming out the rear main seal area.. But I'm not sure if I want to put all kinds of money into this block if this will be the last season that it will be a 3.0L. Any suggestions?

I'm also going to post some pics up in a little while..

Looks like a good build. However, you're missing one vital part....PICTURES!
