I wish I had had access to all the equipment you did when I was doing my conversion. The install looks very clean! I still can't get over cutting and welding on the primary structure of the car, but that's just my pesky engineer brain talking. I suppose it did let you avoid the driveshaft issues that I ran into, though.

Good job all around!
Thanks for chiming in!

Having access to all the mills/lathes/etc definantly helped out quite a bit.

I was a little skeptical of cutting room for the forward mount, but I am convinced it will not become an issue. So far there have been no issues with it, and in fact my car seems more solid now than it ever has before. I can't wait to get this thing out on a road course and see what she has in her!

Throttle cable has been a non-issue since I ceramic coated my headers.

Why are your times so much lower than comparable 16g cars. Your launch is fairly decent. Am I missing something?

11.8 doesn't seem like its that much lower than other e16G cars. Trevor and Adam ran mid 10s with full boost. Melon and a number of others have been able to post 11 second runs. I'm guessing he made that run at low boost. His car should be able to take a bit more abuse.

low-ish boost. 18 psi with a rich tune and very conservative timing (and stock heads). I also had a bad PTU at the time, which I just found out is the reason I was having problems with any higher boost.

New PTU + Dis-4 HO + meth says my times will be much better here within a few weeks
