The Maf has been in some of the other builds here, where i read about it. instead of GM MAF and translator EVO-2 maf and reflash on stock ECU may be the way to go.
Not guessing new parts , sorry. Just prefer t-bolts on quick connect stuff is all, besides they look cooler.
filler cap is nice, better than OEM IMO.
asked about wire covers because because.
Just plain like the red wires, have red on mine too.
thought you meant getting the clip from salvage today, memory thing.
Do have a question, why do people with engine mods use sticks to prop the hood?

I'd like to do everything in T-bolts but they are pretty expensive. Lol. I have the pole because I took the picture when it was cold outside, so the hood just kept falling. I put a pole there to keep it up. Other people may have taken the shocks off as weight reduction a full pound maybe. Lol. Idk.
Modifications as of 3/21/13:
3.1L, 0.050" oversized pistons, forged crank, 3SX lightweight crank pulley, K&N intake, CX Racing pre turbo pipes. SS Y-pipe, SS oil feed/return lines, DNP precat deletes, test pipe, ESP downpipe, DSM SMICs, Ninja Performance boost controller set to 13 psi, vacuum reduction, 6 puck clutch, Drweldin custom spark plug cover, Depo Racing gauges, custom leather seats, and MMCdroid OBDI-Bluetooth datalogging adapter. Everything built and done by me. More to come soon.
Currently building/on the shelf:
3.01L, 0.020" oversized pistons, forged crank, NA block, 13T turbos, KYB GR-2 struts, Tein S-Tech lowering springs.

Two reasons. Most go with an aftermarket hood that is lighter. The shocks will be too strong for the lighter hood.
Second, when the shocks do go bad, like mine, they push the hood up too far in the back by the hinges and nothing aligns properly. I am thinking about not putting mine back on once the car is back together. Or, start shopping for replacement shocks.

Nearly finished now by the looks of it, I think most of us have had a boost pipe off on the first drive out..always start rushing when you that close to complete
Very satisfying when its all done and dusted knowing that all your own hard work and effort gone into it. Nice one.
