Planning on doing this very soon.

Not having access to a Torch and not knowing where I could rent or borrow one without searching.

Do you think it would be possible to cut the bracket with a dremel? Or would the metal be to hard and tear up the dremel?

Oh and by the way, thanks for making this great write up!

You could, sure. It'll take a long time using a little Dremel cutoff wheel though.

Do you have access to any air tools? A large cutoff wheel? Even a air-powered cutoff wheel will take a while.

i used my air cut off tool on this. Worked better I would thank than a torch. Round off the sharp edges with a grinding wheel.

Great right up. Not so easy doing with motor on stand tho! As I thought it would have made it much simpler, lol it didn't.

I used a bench grinder, it didn't take that long, 10 solid minutes maybe? Maybe 20 with a beer near by? ha...you don't need a torch, I'd recommend a grinder of sorts though, dremel would probably be a pain in the ass and take too long, hand cramps...

I also used a cut-off wheel on my air powered die grinder. Worked great an was my preferred method. Much more control over a torch.

HA... probably should have read the first paragraph first instead of last...
Might've prevented me from going "Wtf??"
