Damn man. How long/how many miles have you been running that?

I don't know, a year or so? With this new tune from FSR it's been say, 4 months? I am pretty confident in the tune and it's pretty conservative. I don't see any reason you can't run similar numbers with all the supporting mods.

PPS. Josh did my first tune too and he's good people. If he reads this, Josh send me my timing belt covers. :P

Turn the boost up and tune. With the FMIC and AEM your should have no issues (assuming no operator error).

Water injection buys you like 3-4psi
Propane injection buys you about 8 or so psi.

Maybe propane is an option ?

I'd talk to trevor about his quad nozzle WI kit, and how he has that interfaced with the MAP ECU.

Since you have an AEM you can run an injector output to drive the Water Injection with progressive control, you can also probably wire in a pressure switch or an air fuel safety switch to kick the AEM back down to a low psi map if anything happens to the WI where pressure at the nozzle drops or the A/F isn't happy.

If you're really worried about your pistons, it really is a dumb thing to put on smaller less effecient turbos that will have higher IAT's and be maxed out at a lower psi, rather than run a bigger turbo, with a freer flowing exhaust side, making the same power at a lower cooler PSI...

AEM is also really good with knock detection and calibration. I don't know why you're worried ?

I'm worried because they're the same pistons used on the Dodge Caravan. One bad tank of gas, extra hot day, an ant sneezing in the intake, and a cast piston will turn into abstract art.

You're right about the AEM giving me the best chance to run that higher boost without problems. I gave propane a thought, but think meth/water should work fine. In fact, AEM makes a meth injection kit that integrates with the AEM and will send a signal to reduce timing or boost if there's problem or low methanol in the tank, which is why I like the idea of that instead of the propane.

As for the smaller turbos, yeah, that was more of an idea if I wanted to stay at 18-20 psi rather than pushing the envelope to the 22 range with the methanol. At 18-20 a big TD04 isn't too inefficient, but you're right, if I'm going to max out pump/meth, I should stick with the TD05's.

Thank you for your input

wow you're running 16Gs at 15psi? what a waste

before you worry about future mods why dont you kick up the boost to 22+ psi first.....

Thumbs up Re: Modding Crossroads

Trevor's insane meth setup...

Trevor's single install progress (pic heavy)

According to his calculations ~220hp worth of meth.

Best of luck with what you decide

Naw, man, I'm trying to figure out to do with what I've got. I'm a little nervous about trying to max out 16G's on a stock engine is all I'm sayin'. The only mod I'm looking at is a meth kit at the least.

Lol yeah I saw that meth deal. Awesome setup. That's great for the track, but I don't want to have to fill up a 1 gallon meth bottle every half mile I go, lol, this is a street car.

Stop around 500 wheel and the stock engine wont even be working hard. Assuming a good tune. Also, a properly setup and tuned AEM has safety defaults tuned into it incase of knock and all so it pulls timing to protect the engine.
