I know torque is what breaks stuff, and I don't know how much torque my car was making at the time of failure, but anyone will be hard pressed to make big hp without torque unless you are spinning the motor up REALLY high and have really awesome flow. I've proven my theory very clearly to myself, so as long as I learn from it, I don't feel bad. Trust me, I've learned what the stock motor can do. Believe it or not. like I said, there's always more room for proof, but you won't get it from me :-D. 700 hp + stock short block = BOOM until I see a few daily driven stock short block 700+ hp monsters rolling around.
