Major tranny issues
Well I got towed home today, it all started when I was coming off the freeway and my car was making a very unusual vibration. It felt like I had a bad u joint or something. So I get down the road more and all of a sudden my clutch pedal felt choppy and just plain wrong. I get the where I'm going and come back out to my car, start it and try to put it in gear. Instead of sliding right in the whole car bucks and it goes in gear..now I know something's wrong, so I try to putt as far as I can in first to save on tow fees and come to a stop sign and of course that's where it let go at. Can no longer get into gear or anything.
So right now it's pretty obvious it's the clutch that broke..but I'm not sold on that idea cuz of the terrible vibration it had. Ever since I got the car it has raddled when the clutch is out in neutral, even after I replacedmthemtranny once before and the clutch once just because the tranny is out..
Could it be the throw out bearing fork that caused this? Or did the clutch break OR is the tranny fried which I'm worried about cuz of the vibration.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!
