Default Magnetic transmission drain plug.

Is there a place to buy a magnetic transmission drain plug like they have for the oil drain plugs? It's for a 95 SL 5speed. I searched but kept coming up with irrelevant topics.

i think they are the same size and threads as the tranny. Tranny and Xfer case fill and oil drain are the same part number IIRC and they are the same size as the oil drain plug, so you could probably just order the tranny or xfer case drain plug with the magnet. get one from local mitsu for like 5 bucks

my mistake. i thought you were asking for a magnetic plug for your oil drain like the tranny. the tranny drain plugs are all magnetic. go to the local mitsu and ask for tranny drain plug.

Another alternative is just magnitize what you have. Harbor Freight has a unit that will magnitize or de-mag. on sale for $1.99. Item #0593-9rxb

I don't think my plug is magnetic. When I changed my fluid there wasn't so much as one metal shaving on it. Not that i'm complaining.... Thanks for the help peeps.
