Lingenfelter is the correct spelling--check out their site. The ZR-1 is definitely on my list of cars to get. Its unique engine (Lotus designed and Mercruiser built, if I remember right) is a masterpiece. I worked for a boss who had a '93 (40th anniversary) and we annihilated a Porsche 930 turbo from a roll at about 50-120mph. 22,000 for said Lingenfelter ZR-1 sounds like a good deal to me.

Never done any serious work on one personally but from what I've been told the Northstars are a nightmare to work on.
And as far as the C4 ZR1 being better performance wise than the new Z06 or ZR1 it isn't even a question, the new ones are running with 15 years more or technology and are monsters. But I still think that the old ones are still awesome and cool cars. I saw a black one with exhaust on it a few weeks ago and had to change my pants after I heard him step on it. |

The c4 zr1 is still my favorite corvette. If I remember correctly one of the car mags drag raced it with a c5. The zr1 won. Pretty good for being a decade older. I also prefer the c4 styling to the c5 and 6 so I'm kinda biased.
But like other's have said. The engine is a lot more complicated to work on. |
