Default LT5>LSx?

My friend was looking into buying a c4 ZR1 with the LT5. Its kinda pricey but its still a DOHC corvette. Anyone have any experience with these engines?

C4 ZR1 is IMO the coolest 'vette out there. If I had the money I would buy one in a heartbeat.

IMO, old ZR-1s are nothing more than novelty now. They're super cool and they were one of the baddest cars of the time but I wouldn't buy one to mod it. The old ZR-1 is outclassed easily by newer Corvettes that are easier to mod.

Considering thats the ONLY DOHC chevy has put in a vette/camaro/trans am... There's pratically no mods for it. Making it basically impossible to mod unless you have everything custom made.

???? There are plenty of mods that can be done to a ZR-1. Im confused by your comment.

They are expensive, but that comes with the territory!

Also, as I understand it, the DOHC engine is a bitch if you need to get work done. Unless your friend is a pretty savy dude, he might have some trouble finding someone who is qualified to work on those heads (if he should ever need it).
