ok i have been talking to the ppl at hinson super cars in alabama and they do alot of ls1 swaps into the 240sx,rx-7s,and now there getting ready to come out with there ls1 into a 350z kit.Now theses kits can be DIY or you can get them to do the swap.what i asked him was if he would be interested in doing a LS1 swap into my 3000gt and use it as a test car so he could start making mount kits for it and supporting accesories. In responses he told me that he MIGHT!!! consider doing it if the demand was there so what im asking is yall want to see this happen post up and let me know so then i can send this to him and maybe get the ball rolling.thanks guys!

AWD ls1 would be incredible, but I'm assuming this "swap" would replace the tranny with a domestic as well as converting the car to RWD. After all that, what was the point again? Might as well get a c5 vette because it would probably be cheaper.
Or are you proposing to make the ls1 mate up to the AWD tranny? Hope you own your own CNC machine ![]()

Would Depend on what Parts they would want to use. If they can Figure out how to get a 9" ford Rear End to hold to a N/A Chassis without 30 hours of welding and then can get an LS1 in there for under say 10k you might get interest.

For an already RWD car, its not much of an issue outside of mounts and a crossmember or two. For us its the entire front subframe. And even then, there would very likely have to be some serious firewall modification, not to even mention the underbody and shifter area. AKA--this isn't going to happen until 2009 at very earliest, and even then will take a large sum of money to accomplish.
