Hey all, I know this will be a quick answer from those that got through their own install without a hitch, but I'm stuck on one of the back seats in my install.
![]() This thing right here with the arrow that lets you put your seats down. That little bastard. I can't get it. I've studied it for a while and can't seem to get it off (I've pulled the upholstery off the other seat and looked around and can't get it to work). So if someone wants to give me the secret to this mystery, I'll be indebted to you for ages!

Have you tried just pulling on it? That's all it takes.

No, don't just pull it. It has hooks.
I think used I used some bend coat hanger to go into the slot and hook the wire behind the hooks and pull them in, while lifting that side. I remember it being a bitch. That knobby should just come off by pulling btw. What I did was cut away all the leather around it (wasn't planning on reusing that), without cutting into the foam. That gives you more view. On the other hand you can check out triplex mitsus website and go to collision parts and they might have it for a few bucks. Then you can just break it. what's handy is those little lights on a bendable stick. Like 1/8" thick.

The part with the arrow (knobby thing) that you move just pulls off, as that's what he asked. Now the part under it is another story like you mentioned.
