Leaking coolant

All the hoses that are *easily accessible* have been checked and are leak free. It's the ones at the hard to reach spots that I haven't checked. And it looks like it's one of those that are leaking. I'll post pics when I track it down.

You might want to remove the plenum too when you check the rear turbo. It only takes about 15 minutes to get it off.

If you find that the turbo line is leaking at the turbo banjo bolt you will want to replace the two crushwashers around the line. If the turbo is new or the lines had just recently been installed with new washers, you may be able to get by by just tightening the banjo bolts. If you overtighten them, however, the banjo bolt will snap (don't ask me how I know ).

I had a post like this in the engine section last week.

Finally found my leak when the hose leading to the front turbo completely snapped and leaked all the coolant out of my system.

i had a bad leak from the rear turbo coolant pipe. got a new set of 13ts' fitted and the mechanic forgot to put the clip back on the pipe where it goes into the rubber hose under the thermostat housing. only noticed it when i saw a damp rusty patch at the hose join.pain in the ass to put a clip back on tho.need small hands

Ok guys, finally found it. Looks like it was one of the coolant hoses to the rear turbo - at the hardline end.

Attached is a top-down view of the hose - visible in a tiny gap between the TPS and CAS.

Looks like it's going to be a fiddly job replacing it.
