Looks pretty nice. does anybody have any input on this?

very helpfull arnt you. Go look at DR's intake mani, its 1k as well. Only better thing is his is proven at the moment. To answer the question, there are a couple guys on this forum with it and they said it hits the strut bar IIRC. I wonder if we can get them to dyno before and after.

I wonder what the capcity of that plenum is. The surge tank appears to be larger than on the DR manifold. The intake runners might be slighly larger too, which may or may not increase performance. I believe the DR plenum just uses ported stock runners. If the larger/different shaped runners create more turbulance, then DR would seem to be the better option. Its hard to say without flow numbers.

When you factor in the extra $140 for shipping, the price really isn't all that far DR's.

Actually, I just checked DR's site and it looks like their intake manifold is on sale this month. DR is charging $999 as well, so you'll probably save money when you factor in shipping.

Those runners look longer than stock - if you're looking for top end, this manifold may not be incredibly advantageous.

the surge tank looks like the one from the veilside supra manifold. too bad they kept the stupidly long runners
