All the best man. I lost an aunt to cancer and my father has beaten (fingers crossed) prostate cancer. Keep positive and keep very active, that is the best way to beat it. If you let it get the best of you, that’s when it’s tough to come out on top.
Keep living life to the fullest everyday as if it isn’t even there. All the best to you and your family.
Keith, keep your head up and keep fighting, no matter how hard it is. I know a guy that was diagnosed with liver cancer at 17 and survived it. I work with a woman who had stomach cancer that spread to her liver, and she's surviving it. Three years cancer-free. Just keep believing, and know that the crap you're feeling is just what you have to do to get through it and get better. And whatever you do... Don't let the "big C" get you down. Medicine is an amazing thing, and people do this every day. They fight, and they survive. You'll do the same. Do as Scotty said, and beat this thing. No matter what, beat it.
I don't know you at all, but I'm sure Alan does... And anything we can do, please let one of us know. Anything at all, we're here for you. In the meantime, you've got lots of prayers from me. Please keep us updated when you can... Focus your energy on getting well, but post a message here or there when you feel up to it.
Once again, so awesome to see all of the encouragement and people talking about beating this thing. It really helps to be picked up and know people are behind me.
Lori, I have known Alan for quite a while. Met him in person for the first time at the first NG and again the following year. Before that, it was online...just like to many others on here.
Even though I don't know you my prayer are with you. You can fight it and win, attitude and determination not to let it get you is everything. I'm sure the hardest part was writting this thread.

Then I'm sure we've met at some point.. I've been to every NG with him - I'm just TERRIBLE with remember who's who. But that doesn't matter... I consider you a friend regardless. Anything at all, Keith... Just name it.
best of wishes to you on this fight. i lost my grandfather to cancer 5 years ago. it was so hard watching it take it's toll. i donate a decent portion of my paycheck to the american cancer society every year because of this. hopefully one day we'll be able to beat cancer before it begins. until then, i'll be praying for you
i wish you and your family the best of luck. My dad passed last september from the same thing. He had a grapefruit sized tumor in his arm pit. It ended up being all over his body.
Are you going to Barnes? I liked SLU a lot better. Barnes didn't level with us on how bad it really was, so that they could run him through an experimental treatment and make the last few months of his life worse than it may have been without treatment.
My thoughts and prayers are with you man. I've experienced the surprise of cancer many times in my life with my family. I don't know your personal spiritual background, but I'll be saying a prayer for you.
Keep us updated and most of all, keep your head up. The true measure of a man can be seen by the obstacles he overcomes, especially ones that appear impossible.
same here man. thoughts and prayers are with you. be strong and good luck.
