it could be your iac, isc or whatever the hell its called. I used a cali spec ecu on my fed spec car without issue. I guess it is possible that the opposite wouldn't work.

I replaced my CAli spec car with a fed ECU. Same thing happened. From what I gathered the only difference between the 2 is the EGR is absent on the FED models. After installing the FED computer the car was only running about 5lbs of boost no other changes. It would sputter and kick around. I installed a MBC and checked out the ECS and found the ecu was bad back there too..pulled it and it the car runs great again (except for the squishy suspension)
