Okay so my ECU fried itself (maybe you remember my thread). I got a new one from Gabbergod.
Now its a Fed spec ECU and my car is Cali spec. I was told that it wasnt going to matter by a bunch of people. So I went a head and instaled it, started up kinda slow(starts fine now), it seems like it idles a bit faster than normal. So i decided to take it for a spin. It was driving fine but the it was like sputtering, almost like I'm physically getting on and off the gas but im not. The car ran great before the ecu died so do you think it IS the Cali/Fed problem. If so is there a way to make my car Fed spec? Could it be bad gas still in the system? I put fuel system cleaner and filled w/ new gas the other night. So thanks for reading my short story, any and ALL info /thoughts are appreciated. Thanks guys! ~Mike

Just curious did you put fresh fuel in it after letting it sit for that long?

Check the capacitors on the actual ECU board. My bet is that they are leaking. I had the exact same problem a while back and I replaced a bunch of un necessary shit only to later find out the problem was the capacitors.

I would try a known good fed spec ecu and see if that solves the problem. Also have you checked your vaccum and intercooler lines?
