When I first bought my car, I set off the alarm on my 95 VR4 spyder once by leaving the top down while we went to eat, coming back out and without thinking reaching inside and unlocking the door, with the alarm still armed. Turning the key, the car would start, but the alarm would not stop. I ended up popping the hood and pulling the horn fuse.

Later, I found out you just turn the key on the driver's door and it'll shut off. Too bad I didn't know that while EVERYONE was looking at me breaking into my own car.
Could be that the alarm might have been faulty, it would go off at 3am in the morning when nuts fell off the tree and tinked the hood.
Factory alarm disabling is
awesome.
