i took off my spoiler today to fix it, and i was trying to follow the instructions exactly as they were written. The bolt under the wiper condused me cuz i couldnt see one on my car. then i realized that i have a 3000gt, not a Stealth...haha. the Stealth's spoiler is closer to the back window, obviously.., im an idiot. I ended up figuring it out by myself and it was an easy fix. thanks for the write-up though

If only there were plastic snap-in tabs for the holes with some sort of rubber o-ring to keep the water out.

all i did was go to advance auto and get some round black push pins. put a small bead of black RTV around the bottom side of the push pin head and stuck them in the holes to seal them up.

i'll try and get pics this weekend. worked out perfect

and best of all no more fugly banana boat wing!

anybody done something for a 3rd brakelight alternative? I was thinking about removing the reflector bar to see if there's room to maybe put a strip of LED's behind it and wire it into the 3rd brake light wiring

Anybody got a pic of a wingless 2nd gen RT, preferably in red? Wondering how the 2nd gens looks with the banana...

Ted

For a 3rd brake light alternative, go with the 1st gen base Stealth brakelight that mounts inside the rear windshield. You'll have to cut away some of the trunklid molding, but it's not hard at all. After that it's just bolt in, connect the wiring, and you're set!

Yeah put anything back there, I had a chinese motorcycle taillight in my Stealth's rear window.

50 bucks for a gen 1 3rd brake light is a rip off. i'll throw some LED's in somewhere's instead

anyway, some pics of my new wingless beater

ugly azz banana camel toe

ahhh MUCH better....smoothes out the lines of the car so much. and i can see behind me now without the stupid boomarang blocking my view! also found where the leak in my trunk was comign from...stupid bolt came loose in the middle of the wing.

gotta flip the stupid wiper now! what a retarded design. looks dumb and chatters like a mofo on the down swipe since the blade is still half dry til it makes a pass. engineers where thinking hard

excuse the wax marks and smear prints...took the wing off in the dark haha, but i just went to advance auto and picked up some plastic trim panel push pins, and some black RTV. put the RTV around the perimeter of the hole then pushed the push pin in. the pins are perforated so they stay in by themselves, and the RTV seals it up water tight. a lot less ghetto than electrical tape. in the spring i'll probably repaint the whole trim area again since its a bit faded
