is that judging from the SAT pic, or the pic of my car on the hill. looking back that sat picture is wrong. i drew my car stopped in the wrong place, you can kinda see the steps next to the green box, also where I originally drew my yellow mark is too far from the parking lot. Also, there was a car parked on the street about where the blue box is on the drawing. i was literally a foot away from his back bumper. He was parked about 4 feet away from the entrance to the parking lot, I actually talked to the owner of that car later when i was taking pics.

I can only see skid marks on the road till I'm almost across the center line.I remember that I was almost at her parking lot when she pulled out into the road, so the braking was more sideways than straight on.
It was judging from the pic. If she was only 2 car lengths away, then I can't judge on it being long without actually trying myself.

This was not really an "I'm more careful" comment, more of a frustration venting about having to be paranoid driving. So many idiots here. Always doing other things than paying attention.
Bought my wife an Orange Element. You'd expect it would be easier to spot coming at you. On the contrary. More people pull out of side streets and make right-through-red turns right in front of her (and me when I drive it) than before. And force a slam on the brakes and the horn. And then get pissed at you for complaining.

Also, check your Rack and Pinion. I lost control once while coming downhill and ended up in a ditch in my Civic, found out my Rack and pinion were damaged up. That and alignment + the suspension will need fixing.

Good to hear you're safe though.

i think this is a case of the wait and pray...

Your like "I think they are going to stop..."... Wait...

"holy crap its not gonna stop"... and you bailed.

If like a "normal" driver you were going a little over(like 8-10).

best keep up the "i was doing exactly the speed" limit or the cops will bust you because you have a sports car.

Get it fully checked out at a mitsubishi shop. Get the full quote to replace everything. Its prob going to be near 2 grand.... Get a check cut.

This is why insurance doesnt mind totalling 3s's on a whim.

Dont even mention the "t" word, I love this car too much to lose it. It has relatively low miles(87k) for a '92, and other than the damage from this, its almost perfect. A little dirty, but that's cause I just got it back from the shop with a brand new clutch and flywheel, less than a week ago!!! I got wash, wax, polish and clay bar in the back seat, was gonna do all that this week end. Fuuucking shit!

You're right, I may have been going a little faster than 25, no more than 35, that is 100% sure, I usually go about 30 there, I live two block from there I was pretty much on autopilot since I drive that street atleast twice a day. But you're right, sports car + young boy(21y/o), people will automatically assume speeding so I'm sticking with 25mph, but still she is the one who left turned out of a driveway impedeing oncoming traffic, so I'm pretty sure she'll have to pay.

And climber, I agree with you 100%, the world is FULL of shitty drivers, I really should have been more cautious, I usually am too, I guess it only takes one time for you to be off your guard for this kinda shit to happen. That was one of the first think my dad said, I hate to say it, but he's right.

I would definitely take it to be looked at. I hit a curb at 30 in my avenger and it was over 2000 to fix.

that's a lot compare to mine. base '96 3kgt. i called my insurance to get a quote on my axles after my rear kicked out and slammed the curb. my car was only worth 3,120$ and to fix my car was 3,970 (for the passenger rear axle and rims etc...) i asked to take it to a known shop instead of the dealer, they agreed and they checked it off for 2,102. i guess i was lucky?

I'm pretty sure you aren't near a "totalled" situation. It depends on what all you broke but I would say your around 2000. I have to get A new rim which I bought used at a random place for 40bucks the 2k was for new tires all around and replacing a control arm. Chances are you bent a control arm hitting that curb. You can fix it a lot cheaper yourself then taking it somewhere. I would say you need about 4-6k to total your vehicle, but I can't see your repairs being more than 3k.

You're comparing a base to a VR4; you were expecting the prices to be similar?
