Just out of curiousity, how many cars have you parted out? As in, stripped, gutted, etc. to the bare frame.
As of today, I'm on either number 7 or number 8, haven't really been keeping track of them that well Up until 2 cars ago, I always had a huge problem getting clutch pedal assemblies out and ended up completely taking the damn things apart. Then, last car, I finally realized which bolts to pull....there are only like 3...one bolt inside of the car, then the two nuts holding the master cylinder on, boom, done. Woops, I feel retarded. ![]() |

Wonder if I still have that video of the big claw picking the bare frame up and crushing it into a huge pile of scrap metal
Yeah, I know what you mean. I kind of got over it after the 2nd or 3rd one. If it makes you feel any better, it's not my decision as to what happens to the cars, I just do as I'm told. Kinda sucks though...I think only 2 of them have not been TT's. |

I've done 3.
95 base Stealth, 92 VR4, and a 94 base 3k. I have a 92 RT in the backyard I keep considering parting but think I am just going to fix

I've only done a 93 SL.
It was very educational and I had fun doing it but I would discourage someone from it unless the chasis is wrecked. My part out car was bought from another guy that started the partout cause I wanted the digital climate control from it. He said take the whole car for $200 so I got it all after he had sold maybe 20% of the other parts. The reason he got it was a leaking head gasket that had caused the oil/water to mix and ruined the motor. The body was in excellent shape. Really, that car should have just had a used motor put in and stayed on the road. Only 87K miles when she died. ![]()
