i just put on new cam seals and etc. now its time to torque the pulleys or sprockets back onto the cams. I dont have a special tool to hold the cam steady while i torque the pulleys onto the cam, i was wondering if anybody has a technique or improvised way to do this..
You will need to take the valve covers back off, there is a spot on the cam to put a wrench. I think its like a 22 mm wrench you will need. Hold the wrench in place while torquing the bolt for the cam pulleys.
Big ass adjustable wrench on the hex portion of the cam. Just be carefull not to touch the cam lobe. I also lean the wrench against the head as a brace only on the far side (Front intake, rear exhaust) standing at the engine front. For the other near side (front exhaust, rear intake) I place a block of wood as I was always afraid it could crack the head wall.
