Default hood props for aftermarket hoods.

What interest would there be for a hood prop to hold your fiberglass/carbon fiber hood open?

I have a prototype that...
stows under the hood,
pivots
snaps down (to prevent noise)
is light weight
cut to fit different hoods
no drilling/cutting on the car
installs in seconds
and is currently holding up my stock hood (w/o struts).

Pricing would depend on shipping, but im thinking $20-$30 shipped.
sorry, I cant show better pics.
if I can get 10 that I know will pay then its a go.

if your interested, sign up here

around $8 in parts. (from left to right)

rubber insulated electrical tie down = hinge
rubber tube to keep rod silent under vibration
1/4 steal rod bent in vise
rubber 'cork' to keep the tip from putting a hole in your hood
rubber adhesive white receiver/cup to stick on hood (optional)= doorstop

Parts all from HomeDepot or Ace True Value.

does it hook up to the center latch? or just has the hood laying down on the prop on one side?

Sweet, I've been using a piece of wood holding mine up. Is the hood going to be fully opened with the prop in place?

doesent use the latch.
you have to cut it to fit, so you can have it hold it how ever high you want.
