Default Help me on purchase decision guys!

Choice between two cars, both stock, both 130k miles, both had 120k done already.

1. 1992, 18 spline $5,000, 2 owner, great records
2. 1993, 25 spline, and should be forged crank, right? $5,800, 4 owner, good records

Is the '93 worth $800 more because of forged crank and 25 spline?

Planning to go with either 19Ts or 16Gs on E85.

Thanks!

Some 92's had 25 spline transmissions if they were built in the second half of 92, but you're correct the 93 has the 4-bolt motor with a forged crank. It's stronger, although 99.5% of the people on this forum really don't NEED it. It is nice to have though. If both cars are in equally nice shape I would get the '93.

If the condition is comparable, I'd also go with the 93 for the 4 bolt main and the forged crank.

Depend on colour also. Otherwise which one you prefer more. 2bolt - 4bolt for your power goal it really doesnt matter.

I think that it is also important how many owners car had. So I am for 92.

The '92 is an 18 spline.

Are you sure 2 or 4 bolt doesn't matter for ~600awhp maxing out 19Ts or 16Gs on E85?

I suppose it doesn't matter and I should plan for a motor rebuild and upgraded transfer case anyway
