help greddy profec spec ll question

i might buy a profec spec 2 unit for around 50 bucks.....it is the display only...no solenoid. how much is it gonna cost for me to get the rest of the parts to make it work? is this a good deal for the dispaly unit?

When my friend tried to get one from Greddy a while back it was somewhere in the neighborhood of 250 dollars.

I have seen a few soleniods that look very similar though, perhaps you could find one that works with the controller...
