thanks bro! im sure we have to talk biz pretty soon!lol it was working when i got it couple of day ago. but this morning i open it then closed it then thats it it wont open again just grinding sounds from the back. i manage to open it manually with the help of DUTTCH then noticed a puddle of hydraulic fluid in the trunk. traced it ti a fitting on the side of the cylinder so i cut it and replaced the compression sleeve in the fitting. but i think its still leaking i saw a puddle on the floor of my garage..it got too cold and dark so i stopped there.so im really not sure yet.it could be the cylinder but it was dry to the touch. we will see tommorow i guess.
The shaft seal leaks and it runs down so it can appear to be the fitting. Jeff V wrote a nice guide on rebuilding the cylinders that I need to link on my site. I would say 99% chance this is your problem.
