hAS THIS EVER HAPPENED TO YOU?

I was driving and my deck went pop...then alittle smoke came out. When I pulled my fuse box someone who owned it before me soddered a fuse in the box together? the connection was bad so none of my windows and door locks would work. Friggin ridiculous!!

But is my deck fried? I have a usb port and ipod cable and it is already run under the console and perfectly hidden. If it is fried im gonna be cracked.

I cant believe the fuse was soddered together

What do you mean soldered together? Like the fuse was bypassed?

Well its never good when there's smoke, but I would pull your HU(Headunit) out and check and see if the fuse on the back of it also blew, essentailly that fuse is there to keep your HU from blowing/ catching on fire. Also see how it smells when you pull it out, does it smell burnt? There is a good chance you might have fried it.... also I assume your not getting any power right now correct? Did you check all your other fuses in your fuse box? Another thing your ground could have popped off and some how shorted your HU out by touching either the constant or acc wires..... It's hard to tell, pull it out and give more details, might be able to help more.
