Re: Greddy porfec B spec 2...What is everyones settings and mods???
ok cool. Just read it. i do have the inst manuel. I am at work and needed to read it. I think after reading this i understand the settings more now. I will let you know what happens.
oh, by the way, will the boost guage vac line being basically cut off have an ill effects on the way the boost controller operates?
The line that came with the guage was basically fused together because of the turbos heat. hmmm

k went and did some test runs and it seemed to be boosting at 10psi. I'm at 55% set, 15% gain, and 60 set gain? My fuel is basically stioch thru all rpms lo and hi ne points on my safcII. Just need to figure out how to tweek it. I am going to just bring it to the dyno and have them set it up for me.
Re: Greddy porfec B spec 2...What is everyones settings and mods???
That 60 setgain seems awfully high.
If you get fuel cut, you know. It's like hitting a brick wall.
On totally stock fuel, I don't even know what the limits are. I know I could run 15psi with stock injectors (130-140% IDCs), but I had a hotwired walbro 255.

Ya, it would go then just like stutter. That fuel pump can push so much more fuel thatn the stocker. Maybe Ill do that this weekend

Are you holding those boosts all the way to redline? Do you log boost somehow?
I've been playing with mine some more, too. I'm having trouble on the street trying to look at the gauge, the road, and the tach. I may have to look into logging boost.

That almost sounds like spark blowout. Do you get real rich when you feel it stutter?

I can't log boost atm but bjmsam posted a great solution, if your boost controller happens to have a MAP output (like the AVC-R). It holds both boosts till redline. For the high boost, when it was at 60 set and 5 gain (with 15 setgain) it would spike at 18.5 and hold 17 to redline. Now it's spiking maybe 17.5 then holding 17 to redline. My butt dyno is broken, but it sure did run through 3rd gear more quickly with 550's and 17psi (even with a ridiculously rich 10.0 AFR) than it did with stock 360's and 15psi (with stock 11.2 down to 10.8 AFR). I can never tell how fast a car is when I'm driving it.

about 11.9-12.3 in the higher rpms. still tuning it tho, only 1st real time out yesterday trying to get it all straight. tell you what tho, the sob runs better, just need to put the injectors and pump in. runs, 14.6-14.8 all thru the lo ne points. more lean in the higher so i think i am getting comforatable with the safcII.
the greddy tho is gonna be the death of me! friggin thing irritates me.
