Greddy porfec B spec 2...What is everyones settings and mods???

OK, i was reading in a evo forum about all these guys and gals that are using the profec b 2. Now, I am just curious to who is usung them and what your setting are and what supporting mods you have also.

What are your setting?

13T's, stock fuel (waiting until engine brak in is done to put in my 560's and walbro 255), gtpro fmic

Set 62%
Gain 7%
Set Gain 10%
Warning 21psi
Limiter 4%

(these are not mine. These are off an evo)

I believe mine (13T, stock inj), making 15psi, is set around here:

Set: 30
Gain: 7
SetGain: 17

Something like that.

I don't think that's right. You want your "set gain" less than your max boost. "Set gain" is the start boost. It's the boost level at which the valve begins operating. You want it as close to your max boost as possible without causing a spike.

If you're running 15 psi, I'd try 11 for set gain.

Alright I'll def. keep that in mind when tuning. It hits and holds 15-16psi like that pretty well, for whatever reason. I will be tuning for 17psi this weekend with my 550's so that's good info to know. For the sake of my own dumb ass, even after reading pansy patrol's write up I still screw it up! LOL!

Yes, 92rtawd is right. The set gain is the point at which the EBC begins to control boost. However, if you're hitting and holding your target boost, and you're not spiking, who the hell are we to tell you you're doing it wrong.

Correct process is all well and good, but ultimately if the unit is doing what you want it to do, fuck process. If I could get my Profec B to hold the boost I want by rubbing it in mud and throwing it against my wall, I'd do it.

If I want to run 15 psi with my 13t's and stock fuel system ...(until my break in is done) what settings should I start out at.

I just tuned my safcII and now I need to under stand my greddy.

Set?
gain?
set gain?

So, if i want to run 15 psi, what do i set it at in kpa?
where should I start my set, gain and set gain and warning and limiter?

OK after reading this big write up on the evo forums, I should start my basic map as follows and correct me if Im wrong...

Set:30%
Gain:5%
Set Gain:15
Warning:16
Limiter:26%

Is that about where I should start?

You see that I have a profec b 2?

Then I see you have not read my article on how to set it. Every car is different and it is not smart to use someone else's settings except in the roughest sense. People have given you enough rough guidelines already.

Did you even read my last post? I posted up a starting point that I believe should be ok based on write ups Ive read about. I was only wondering what your settings were. I wasn't asking for your ATM PIN

On my stock turbo's I have:

Low boost- (Sustains about 11 PSI with an occasional spike to 12-12.5psi)

Set- 28%
Gain - 7%
Set gain - 10

High boost (Sustains about 14.5-15PSI with a spike that rarely goes over 15.5, danger zone for stock turbos)

Set- 43%
Gain - 8%
Set gain - 13

Do you guys have the extra port capped or nor. Almost everyone in the evo forum said it wouldnthold boost with it on, and when they took off the cap it held all the way to redline
