I tried searching. I found that USB>Serial cables don't work. I see people using the same setup as me...but I cannot find how they are hooking this up.
I see many people using the scanmaster 3 and a palm pilot to data log. I am just wondering what type of cables are being used? Everyone makes it sound simple...but the scanmaster 3 has a rs232 connection and cable, but palm does not. At least older ones, like my m505. Models similar to mine only have the "cradle" connection on the bottom of the palm unit...Nothing supplied with the palm nor the scanmaster allow for the two to be hooked up. Can anyone explain how I can get started logging? Again, I have a scanmaster 3, installed, reading the ecu. I have a palm m505 with a cradle, which has a USB and power connection. People have said that a USB>Serial cable does not work, so although I don't know exactly what cable they are talking about, I'd assume that one won't work. Thanks, Eddie
