Default gas mileage on a stock 96-98 TT 3000gt (actually a JDM GTO)

I was searching the web and this forum but cannot find discussion on the topic.

if you are using a stock car, can you please reply with your mileage in MPG?

thank you very much

ps. I've seen replies that goes along like this "if you're worried about mileage, maybe you need another vehicle". That is certainly true but that doesn't mean I can't be fuel conscious at the same time.

18/25? is that based on mitsubishi's brochure or actual experience?

I used to get almost 400 miles to 17 gallons with mostly highway driving or 24mpg like clockwork and then, when I did some basic mods to make it faster, it went down to 22mpg

Gas mileage in the city is very shitty, especially if you do any major modification (15 or less). Highway, it's not so bad, due to the huge 5th or 6th gear (24+). All depends on how the car is driven, and the condition the car is in.

And the reply "if you're worried about mileage, maybe you need another vehicle" definitely holds true.

I think the last time i checked my gas mileage i got roughly 15 or 16. That would have been city mileage btw. (96 stock VR4)

I have a 1999 VR4 with 70k miles on it. when i DONT stomp on it i normally get 18mpg city and i get around 24mpg. that is what i really get and keep it all along with every maintenance done logged on my computer. the only upgrades i have done is 8.5mm spark plug wires, ngk spark plugs, K&N FPIK and new HKS SSQV.
