I usually pull 27-30. I shift at 2-2.5k rpms whenever possible, if I'm not accelerating, I'm in 5th. Even at 35 mph

I took a trip out to southern Utah a couple of weeks ago for work. I got an average of 30.36 on that tank. That was with driving with the windows down, going 80mph most of the way with two stints of 85mph and one three or four mile stint of going about 110mph. Also, 1/4 of the tank was mostly city driving.
Not bad for a TT. ![]()

I finally checked it, i got about 21 MPG Overall W/ Turbo @ 14.5psi, I was rather impressed, it was a mix of highway/city/asshole driving

I usually get 24-26 mpg 60-40 highway and city. It used to be 22-23 consistently, which I determined was from shifting too early and pressing the throttle too much. If I accelerate slower and let the engine wind out more (say 3-4k before shifting) I get better gas mileage. I've been experimenting with this balance lately.

Just did 8xx miles over the weekend to yesterday in the 94 and averaged 24 for the whole trip cruising mostly at 85-90 in 6th gear with the AC on the entire time. Gotta love that 6th gear.

that's about what i get. doesn't seem to matter all that much how i drive in the city, if it is light to light i get ~10mpg. i can get 24-28 if i take it easy on the highway. i just got the 3SX FPR kit in, i am curious to see if that changes the city driving once i have it fitted

When I first got my car (3000gt SL), I was getting like 150 or so to the tank.
But I changed some stuff, replaced the battery, oil change and get like 200-300ish a week. I only fill up when I have a notch less than a quarter tank left, and my commute is 40-46 miles round trip. If I fill her up on Sunday I'm at a quarter tank by friday. But I'm doing my 120k soon, changing spark plugs and wires so that's gonna help even more. And getting a 3 inch catback straight pipe so thats gonna add more mpgs, hopefully.
