none of those modded cars are really street/dot compliant. If you can pass a tailpipe sniffer and its capable of going over a speed bump and move in traffic w/o overheating then its street legal IMO. Just looking stock is not that important

And it is too late to get a car registered now. According to their rules the car
must have been registered for the last 12 months. So that may reduce the field a lot.

Mine's plated and legal.

Erron's car is street reg'ed, he's been actively competing in roadracing events for some time and he's just installed an IPS single kit. His car is stripped and race-prepped (and has been run and IS running, which is a big point too). I'd say that's one good nominee. It's not an untested dyno queen.

that should be good, but the only car that has the new SCE's center VCU is their stealth. that VCU would help the car to become faster around the track. with out that and rear LSD i'll be hard for us to beat the EVOs.

Erron's already beat Evos even back when he had 15G's. He's got even more power now. I'm sure he'ld install SCE's center diff once it's available too.

IMO, the ultimate all-purpose competition setup would be a 3.5-3.6 stroker with all the supporting mods with something like DBB DR-900's for decent top end but with a nice wide powerband. And with a well setup suspension with all the aftermarket diffs, lightened as much as possible (something like this is my eventual goal), but I don't think we have ANY 3/S currently modded like this.

All the guys with the stroker setups tend to be straight-line-power nuts with little to no handling mods and even less roadcourse driving experience, and most of the roadcourse guys don't have extensive power mods (because we want the wider powerbands and haven't yet scrounged up the cash for a stroker setup).

Does anyone know a potential timeframe for this (if it's even going to happen)?
