He could compete if there was a competition for bank-rolling a car. Otherwise, I think someone else would need to drive his car.

I think we do in fact stand a good chance of coming out on top, despite others contempt for the 3/S platform.

The real questions are:

1. Are any shops or individual members with highly modified cars interested?

And if so....

2. Would members of this forum support such an effort financially (a dollar from active members goes a long way towards entry fees, hotels, gas for tow vehicles ect...)?

I cannot anwser question number one, but I would be willing to donate to our common cause.

We might not win any outright event but in a overall competition we would fair pretty well.

The Jack of All trades is a pretty good hand in poker , just because someone has a Ace or two up their sleeve you still win with 4 jacks .

If some shops were serious about entering this competition, I'd give a donation. I'm sure plenty of others would too. I still have my doubts as to how competitive we would be. But hey, you never know until you try.

most of those cars are good for 1/4 mile, but how many of those can turn? it's not only about 1/4 mile racing. i think most of those cars will run out of gear for standing mile. for road racing we need to be more worry about evos, vipers, maybe supras and vetts. i belive with that new VCU and LSD more than half of those cars won't have a chance agains us. i would donate as well if any of our shops show up there.

I think we need an invite first. Otherwise any point is moot.

there are some rolls. i am not sure what the rolls are, but i belive the cars can not be too modifid . not only that we don't even know who is going to show up. most of those cars are not the forums members, so we don't need to be worry about most of them. not only that it's will bhard for them to beat awd car with lower center gravity and wider tires all around. it looks like our big shpos are not really interesed in it any way since i haven't seen them posting here.

Agreed 100%. If there is big advertising involved, expect the big money players to be involved as well.
