Default is it a flashable ecu md360028

hi got the chance to buy this ecu according to this website i found http://www.atech2.com/files/manager/...i_2011_04r.pdf its the last one built for the gto 1998/2000 my main concern is will it work and would it be compatible with your pNp harnesses that sell on this forum my vehicle is a 1993 mk2 gto but still obd not the hybrid type apart from harness and tactrix 2 and evo scan would i need anything else any help appreciated

No jdm gto ecu is flashable.

Awesome I love being proven wrong. lol. Glad to see yet another flashable ECU. It looks extremely similar to the European 99 3000GT flashable ECU.

If you want, I can build a conversion harness for that. That flashable ECU uses a 94-97 style ECU connector.

EDIT: I just looked at the board PCB number and it matches 100% to the 99 Euro version.

Yours would have the incorporated TCU then if it has 4 plugs. AFAIK those ones dont work with our setup.

That's only holds some truth for non-3000GT ECUs. I've already had this style ECU running on my car.

It's the same software and hardware as the MD360029 ECU. The only difference is that the 029 ECU is for LHD 6-speed cars, and the 028 is for RHD 6-speed cars. I don't think the ECU gives a damn what side the steering wheel is on. It's probably more related to what market they're sold into.

Anyway, they run the same ROM image, and whatever changes there are, are enabled via periphery bits.
