just be very carfull with great suff i have used it a million times it has super glue in it formula. you may want to try the black can of great suff it exspands 2x over the red and blue can.

but the job you have done look great keep it up, you may want to make a template. from what you have done so you can copy that on the other side. i would just measures the profile at x points that way it will work on both sides of the car. again looks great

I put paper masking tape down first, and it didnt seem to go thru it to the paint.
I used the black can the second time, but I think it comes out 2x as fast.
So your saying to just measure the thicknesses at several different points and duplicate it for the other side?

ya, i would use cardboard ribs. just take the cardboard and match it to your widebody at x point and you can just filp the cardboard around and it's a the same on the other side.

Follow the instructions on the resign bottle closely. Mixing the resign and the hardener is important. Too hot and you won't have time to work. Too cold and it won't harden. Practice on something else small first. You don't want to screw up your nice structure you just made. I'd say, go find a tissue box or something and try to fiberglass around that. Once you've learned how to mix and spread it and all the little tricks like preventing air pockets from forming, you should be all set to try the fender.

Just my .02

Also, could this process be used to make a sub box? hmmmmmmm

Then I found this how-to article in one of my car mags and it says to use this insulating foam called Great Stuff. Comes in a spraycan and comes out like hair moose, then grows and hardens pretty hard. Then your suposed to use this cheeze grater looking file that is spacificaly made for foam. After you get the shape you cover it with duct tape and lay fiberglass over. So now I have the shape for one fender but have never used fiberglass before. Anybody got any hints or a how to?
Anyway here is my progress so far...
I never thought of doing it that way, seeing this is giving me the incentive to start mine, lol, the biggest concern I have is not being able to afford rims to match a 3" widebody

Have you given any thought to how the rear fenders will bolt on? Are you going to have to drill into the originial rear fenders to make this work?
